Starting in October 2011, The Frostwood Green Tigers have been a group of students from K-5th Grade who meet twice per month on a Thursday morning at 7:15 am to learn about all things pertaining to the Environment.  The Green Tigers are Frostwood’s environmental leaders and advocates, helping to make our campus and our world more environmentally friendly. Through activities, crafts, lessons, and discussions, students are educated, inspired, and empowered to protect the Earth.

Green Tigers Mission Statement (a work in progress): Green Tigers are Frostwood students that take care of the earth by using less energy, saving water, composting, recycling and sharing information with others to do the same.

Working with the PTA’s Go Green Committee, the Green Tigers help sponsor Monthly Walk, Bike, Scoot to School Days, Frostwood Recycles Week in November, Frostwood’s Picnic for the Planet in April, and many recycling initiatives on campus. The kids love being part of this dynamic group and sharing their knowledge with their peers.  Kinder aged children must attend with a parent/guardian.

Please contact Amelia Damborg ( or Angela Buegeler ( for more information.
